ISO 14064 – Greenhouse gas (GHG) emission standard
ISO 14064 specifies the principles and requirements for the quantification and reporting of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and removals. The ISO 14064 standard comprises three parts that respectively inform on: GHG Inventories (Part 1); GHG Projects (Part 2); and act as guidance for validation and verification of GHG Information (Part 3).
GHG Verification – ISO 14064-3
HSS can carry out a verification audit of the GHG inventory/project using ISO14064:3 to provide a reasonable or limited level of assurance that the inventory conforms to ISO14064:1.
Verification is the systematic, independent and documented process for the evaluation of a GHG against agreed verification criteria. Verification provides an independent assessment of the data associated with a GHG inventory/project and can offer an opinion on the accuracy of the estimates or measurements.
